18th International Masterclass for Orchestral Conductors
Maestro Grzegorz Nowak (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra)
Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms

We are happy to collaborate for the first time with the Permanent Associate Conductor of the great Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, Maestro Grzegorz Nowak. Maestro Nowak is a very sought after conductor with a long a career as an opera and concerts conductor, collaborating with the most important orchestras in the world in concerts and many recordings.
In this masterclass participants will have the opportunity to study with Maestro Nowak who is serving for many years as a Prof. of Conducting in FIU and other institutes, and parallel to to that maintaining an extensive career as very active performer. Maestro Nowak curriculum is very rich in collaborations with prominent soloists such as Martha Argerich, Yefim Bronfman, Nigel Kennedy, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Mstislav Rostropovich and many more.

Besides intensive active conducting sessions with a professional orchestra, each one of the participants will have the chance to work with Prof. Nowak on critical aspects of conducting including studying the score, musical analysis, and conducting technique. Like always we will hold four orchestra rehearsals (4 hours long each) with the professional musicians of the Berlin Sinfonietta.
All the participants will have the chance to perform in the final, public concert.
All of the conductors will receive a professional recording of the final concert with high sound quality and HD video.
The course will be taught primarily in English, and secondarily in German. If you don’t speak these languages, and you would like to participate in the masterclass, we will make our best effort to provide a translator. Please mention that in your application. All the sessions with the orchestra will be video recorded, and each participant will receive his or her videos on a 16 GB USB stick, which they may keep and take home with them. Participants are welcome to bring their own recording device.
